STRATEGIC GOALS
Education
Through our core process of education, we promote the development of our students from application to graduation and beyond. Based on research-led, practice-oriented and innovative teaching, we prepare our students optimally for the professional challenges of the national and international job market and encourage them to contribute to solving societal challenges in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
We are breaking new ground in education by incorporating digitalisation and artificial intelligence.
Over the next 10 years, we will increase the number of our students in Lower Austria to 5,000; internationally, we supervise 1,500 learners. With the IMC Digi-Campus, we will also create a market-oriented, digital education programme.
Goal 1: Austria’s most international university
The study experience offered by our educational programmes covers a wide range of international elements. We are continuously expanding the global character of our university and creating Austria’s most international campus environment, characterised by an international faculty and student body.
Through targeted cooperation with renowned universities, we are establishing a network of international partners for joint teaching programmes and research activities.
Transnational programmes and projects enhance the global reach of our educational offer.
Goal 2: Innovative educational offer
Our practical and future-oriented educational offers impress with their high quality, are implemented using innovative teaching methods and include flexible elements. By continuously involving our stakeholders in the (further) development of our programmes, we ensure that they remain up to date and relevant.
New educational offers arise primarily within the focus areas of our three departments and at their interfaces. We regard artificial intelligence as an opportunity to break new ground in teaching.
We promote effective theory-to-practice transfer through the involvement of experts in teaching, application-oriented projects, integrated internships and final theses in collaboration with partners from industry and society.
In the field of continuing education, we develop tailor-made solutions on request, are establishing special training courses and continuing education programmes in the health sciences, and are creating the IMC Digi-Campus, a market-oriented, digital education programme.
Goal 3: Enthusiastic students and IMC alumni as a competitive advantage
Enthusiastic students and alumni convey a positive image. Visible unique selling points in all departments and study programmes increase the attractiveness of IMC Krems. This image is enhanced by targeted media presence, successful rankings and the international accreditation of IMC Business School.
Our team’s service orientation and the welcoming atmosphere on campus promote the satisfaction of students and faculty alike. Our active alumni network offers a wide range of opportunities for networking, career advancement and collaboration, which strengthens the long-term bond with IMC Krems.
Our alumni’s employers regard the IMC degree as an important distinguishing feature and value the practical and future-oriented education.
